The caresses of time
Lesson two: Time as a tool
Community yoga Mangawhai
Developing a personal practice .
Time that comes back in a swell
and withdraws without turning it's face,
what happened was not but is being
and silently flows
in another instant that fades away.
- Octavio Paz
They are not many things that can be as conventional and relative as time.
We may feel sometimes that the hours go to slow when we have a long day at work, or fast when we having fun, but conventionally we know that an hour equals 60 mins.
Independent of the mesure system, the notion of tine happens by movement.
In this practice, we are focusing on how we experience time? using the concept of time to mark a rhythm for our practice.
Directing our attention in the way we feel during transitions, and understand what a transition actually means in the physiologic level, observing the cycles of beginning and ending, express it at first instance in our breathing.
We are using the resilient quality of time as an instrument to orchestrate our movements, sliding by the intimacy in our breath, feeling serenity on the caresses of time.
One hour yoga class, starting at 6:30pm at the Anglican Church, please arrive at least 5 minutes early
