Lesson 32

*Community yoga Mangawhai

Developing a personal practice .

“In eternity there is no time, only an instant long enough for a joke.” ― Hermann Hesse
“When we drink a glass of water, we taste it: when a cool breeze brushes our bare skin, we feel it; and when a stranger speaks to us, we listen” ― Donna Farhi

A few days ago, as a consequence of some circumstances, I confirm a suspicion about myself: that after all this “yoga”, I still quite hasty.

If Yoga is a journey, where the “goal is the path and the path the goal”, why i am still so impatient?

So I realize that more than practice patience, I been persistence with my practice.

The qualities of patience and persistence are different, one is passive and the other active.

Patience is diluted by the passing of time, while persistence push with time.

Instead of denying a “nature”, these two can complement each other.

So my lesson is to be persistent with patience.

Class starts at 6:30 pm, every Tuesday at the Anglican Church in Mangawhai, please arrive at least 5 minutes before.

Entry: Koha

*Community yoga is all about sharing. it is for everybody willing to explore; The aim is to inspire people to develop a personal practice, with a slow flow yoga sequence, that we take home, then we gather every week as a team in a theme class, by the poetic title of our teachings; We learn together the unlimited lessons of the practice.
