The Trick and Treat of Fear

Lesson 31

*Community yoga Mangawhai

Developing a personal practice .

“Intuition is always right in at least two important ways; It is always in response to something, it always has your best interest at heart.”

― Gavin De Becker, The Gift of Fear.

Expressed in the quality of our respiration and heart rhythms:

Fear is a feeling that comes and goes, and shouldn't be permanent or stationary.

As a feeling, it can be observed, mapped and track, using it as an intelligent tool with which we can mark the borders of “safe zone”, and progressively expand the spectrum of stress.

To give an example, while maintaining the balance standing on one leg or in a handstand, we must know that we will fall, this is not to be scared and give up, rather be prepared to fall with style and rise up again.

The trick is to taste the treats of threats.

Class starts at 6:30 pm, every Tuesday at the Anglican Church in Mangawhai, please arrive at least 5 minutes before.
